Finding the right capacity partner is about more than securing capacity. For MGAs and insurtechs, it means finding an insurer that understands the proposition, shares the ambition for the business and has the appetite, expertise and infrastructure to support it over the longer term.

Join Insurtech UK's Capacity Community for a panel discussion bringing together capacity providers, MGAs and insurtechs to explore what makes these relationships work in practice.

The conversation will look beyond the initial placement to examine how potential partners assess each other, what capacity providers need to see before committing, and how both sides can build a relationship that can adapt as the business develops.

The panel will explore some of the questions shaping capacity decisions in 2026:

  • What makes an MGA or insurtech an attractive partner?
  • How important are data, technology, distribution strategy and underwriting performance?
  • Where do expectations commonly differ? And what needs to be in place to turn an initial placement into a sustainable, multi-year relationship?

Attendees will hear perspectives from both sides of the capacity relationship, with practical discussion around what works, what can slow progress down and what each party should understand about the other before entering a partnership.

The session will be followed by networking drinks, giving participants the opportunity to continue the conversation with providers, founders and peers from across the Insurtech UK community.
