Insurtech UK holds meeting with Government’s Investment Minister
Insurtech UK held a meeting with Lord Grimstone, Minister for Investment at the Department for International Trade (DIT) and Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) on the 7th July.
Lord Grimstone's role as a Government Minister involves him being responsible for all inward investment into the UK and promoting UK businesses overseas.
This meeting was a good opportunity to discuss how Insurtech UK and Government can position the UK insurtech market as a sector of strategic importance in the UK's international trading strategy.
We are growing evermore confident that insurtech is seen within Government as a catalyst for innovation, progressive change and positive outcomes for consumers. But it is now paramount that the Government uses this growing recognition of the potential of insurtech to secure access to larger pools of funding and greater international opportunities for the UK market.
